Alder Packaging is proud to announce our official partnership with Simex Factories in Medellín, Colombia.

Simex, a family-owned facility with over 55 years of expertise in injection molding, brings significant advantages. Here’s how this partnership is transforming the industry:

1. Supply Chain

As brands face rising tariffs and shifting trade policies, Alder is proactively helping clients build resilient supply chains with a mix of regionalization. Simex is a nearshore facility in South America that provides a strategic alternative to manufacturing.

2. Specialization

Since its founding in 1969, Simex has specialized in producing mascaras, lip glosses, fragrances, lipsticks, eyeliners, caps, and nail polishes, serving reputable clients like L'Oréal.

3. Sustainability

Nearshore production in Colombia reduces transportation, leading to a smaller carbon footprint, shorter lead times, and more competitive pricing. Simex’s Silver EcoVadis certification empowers brands to continue the sustainability journey forward.

4. Socios

Socios means partners in Spanish. During Alder’s visit to Simex in Medellín, we were impressed by their dedication to sustainability and their passion for collaboration. We’re excited for what the future holds!
