Video Update from Alder’s CEO

Hey, this is Jerome Fraillon, the CEO of Alder Packaging. My team and I just got back from two trips in China with clients to visit partner factories. These were great visits linked to very exciting launches for the end of 2025 and early 2026.

TEAM UPDATE

We’ve expanded our Alder organization with 5 new team members in the past few months. We’ve added:

  • Kirsten Boyne, Senior Director of Sales

  • Samantha Tsang-Lee, Director of Packaging Development

  • James Packwood, Senior Manager of Operations

  • Halima Hubbard, Senior Supply Chain & Systems Planner

  • Lena Ohanian, Manager of Packaging Development

INDUSTRY UPDATE

Right now, we’re seeing a global trend of little treat culture. Leonard Lauder coined this concept as the lipstick effect as they saw lipstick sales dramatically increase during economic downturns.

The lipstick effect became the Stanley effect, now it’s currently the Labubu effect, a symbol of community. The lesson here for beauty & wellness brands is to diversify today — and get ready for tomorrow’s little treat.

Right now it’s lip care and hair care, but you have to be working on what’s coming next in 2026. My bet is on sun care. What do you think will be the next big little treat?
